Two hours southeast of Walt Disney World is Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, an elegant old-fashioned hideaway. The Resort sits on Florida’s Atlantic Treasure Coast, minutes away from the city of Vero Beach. Although a Disney property, this is very much a relaxing beach vacation spot. Come see all that Disney’s Vero Beach Resort has to offer!
The Mickey shaped pool is the most popular amenity at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Heated to 82º F, the pool also has a two-story 163-foot spiral water slide, Pirate Plunge. A whirlpool spa and a pirate-themed play area for children sit in the pool area, too.
Children ages 4 to 12 can take part in the Disney Discovery Club, a three-hour supervised program of the evening. Relax and enjoy a child-free evening while your kids make arts and crafts, eat dinner, and play games in a safe Disney environment.
Since you are at the beach, you may want to spend some time in the ocean or laying in the sand. Lounge chairs are provided and beach rentals (wave runners, kayaks) are available.
Relax and Unwind
The Spa at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is fantastic! Massages, facials, waxing, Vichy shower treatments, body wraps, eye and lip treatments, pedicures, manicures, and tween services are all offered here. The Spa uses Eminence Organic products which are organic, natural, Biodynamic, sustainable, cruelty-free, and made by hand in Hungary.
Be sure to play a round of golf at Port Holes, the Resort’s 9 hole mini-golf course. Basketball and tennis fans should take advantage of the courts in the Sports Area.
Outside, you will find hammocks, corn hole boards, rocking chairs, and beautiful landscaping.
Other amenities include sing-along campfires, bike rentals, DVD rentals at the Island Grove Packing Company, surf school, tennis lessons, catch and release fishing in the Resort’s private lake, and a fitness room.
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort Dining
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort has two onsite restaurants. Wind and Waves Grill is a beach bistro with artfully prepared seafood dishes. Wind and Waves also has a market with grab-and-go food, like sandwiches, salads, burgers, sweets, and soft-serve Dole Whip. Seagrape is the resort’s second dining room. It is home to Goofy’s Beachside Character Breakfast on Saturday mornings and the popular Pirate Night Dinner.
The Resort also has two bars. The Green Cabin Room is a stylish Old-World lounge on the second floor while the Wind and Waves Bar sits poolside.
Note: There is not much information about the restaurants online. Menus are not even provided.

The Resort shares space with Loggerhead Sea Turtle nesting grounds and lots of efforts are made to protect them. No exterior lighting faces the ocean and windows are tinted to reduce the impact of interior lighting.

Pick up groceries, souvenirs, or Disney apparel at the Island Grove Packing Company in the lobby.
Choose from a Studio room inside of the main building or a Villa, scattered throughout the property. Studios are more traditional hotel rooms while Villas have a kitchen, washer, and dryer–perfect for large families.
The Resort is absolutely beautiful at Christmas. It’s my favorite time to visit.
You can even get married at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. I did!
