2. Shop ’til You Drop

If you like to shop, then you will love Pearland! With an open-air mall (Pearland Town Center), name brand stores, boutique shopping, antiques, clothing, and more, you can find it all here.

Macy’s, James Avery, H&M, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Chico’s, Pandora, The Children’s Place, Victoria’s Secret, Dillard’s, and Charming Charlie are some of the popular stores at the Pearland Town Center. Outside of the mall, we really like Apricot Lane, Le Papillon Children’s Boutique, Rustique, Brows’ Aroun’ Antiques, and Lollipop.

Don’t miss stopping at Buc-ee’s–a Texas favorite convenience store that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

3. Eat At Killen’s BBQ

Killen’s serves the Best BBQ Period. Since 2013, it is one of the, if not the, most popular things to do in Pearland, Texas. Killen’s BBQ opens at 11 AM and by 10:45 AM there’s a line of people waiting outside.

Choose from brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs, pork and beef sausage, turkey, chicken, or pull pork and pair it with pinto beans, potato salad, green beans, creamed corn, baked beans, french fries, onion rings, cole slaw, or mac’n’cheese. Top your meat with your choice of Killen’s BBQ Sauce–Coffee, Sweet, or Tangy.

4. Take A Class At Rustique

Rustique is a custom home décor and general store that sells handmade/handcrafted products made by locals. Several times a week, Rustique hosts “therapeutic craft sessions”. Whether you want to learn how to use your Cricut, make a door hanger or sign, work on your sewing skills, or paint, there is a class for you. If not, you can call and set up your own private class.

Note: Rustique says you’ll feel right at home taking one of their classes–and we couldn’t agree more!

Since Pearland is so close to Houston (and it’s easy to get to and from Houston without a lot of traffic), you should definitely take advantage of all that this metropolitan city has to offer.

There’s no shortage of educational offerings in Houston. Start by learning all about NASA at Space Center Houston and the Johnson Space Center. If you’re looking to get outside, Discovery Green, Memorial Park, Buffalo Bayou Park, and Mercer Botanic Gardens are all great options.

Those traveling with children should make time to go to the Houston Zoo, Downtown Aquarium, Kemah Boardwalk, Children’s Museum of Houston, or Typhoon Texas Water Park.

Fun Fact: Houston is the 5th largest city in the United States.
